If you actually manage to get a ticket for the World Cup (see here ) in Germany make sure you don't mention the war.

According to the Sun

Quote:
England soccer fans who give Nazi salutes or goose-step like Basil Fawlty at this summer's World Cup will be jailed by cops in Germany.

I sort of agree in a way. It might be a laugh to us, but it's offensive to them, especially seeing as most of them are ashamed of the war. Anything that could start a riot, jeopardising our team's participation would be disastrous. What's the point upsetting the hosts?

I totally agree.

I didn't mean to imply that English fans should take the piss over the war - I just thought that it was funny that it has actually been mentioned.

However, I do hope that we upset the hosts - when England lift the world cup, oh yes.

Anyway, shut-up Gav!

I think singing ...'one world cup and two world wars is funny'.....

maybe we cant sing the song because Germans have a very noticeable deficit in the humor department.

they don't have the witticism in their country to came back at us....... it's national bullying Germany is the geeky kid at school with no friends.....

no offence Gavver....

Bet your missus is gutted if you're always that premature

I think the Germans did a phantastisch job of hosting the Fuβballweltmeisterschaft with the fan miles und so weiter.

Just a shame I can't remember any of my GCSE German really isn't it?

Mit besten Grüβen

Norton
