Promotion Hopes and Relegation Fears number 2 – League One
Southend lead the League One with 70 points, with Brentford still in with a chance of snatching the Championship only six points behind with two games in hand.

Oldham are hoping to convert their outside chance to a reality after beating Bradford 4-1 at the weekend, but they need any of the top seven to slip up to do so. Southend should leave the League one this year as Champions, even though Brentford and Colchester both have games in hand. Points in the bank are the most important at this stage of the season and Brentford need to secure two wins to stand a chance of becoming champions.
Barnsley need to beat Bournemouth this Saturday to try and distance themselves from Oldham. There is still 8 games left for most teams and all of the teams need to capitalise on the slightest mistakes made by teams that they are chasing, Nottingham Forest may still be in with a chance, one thing is for sure though and that is a very interesting promotion race is heating up in League One.

Most teams which find themselves in trouble have games in hand over the division, however the MK Dons have the chance to pull themselves out of last with a win over Nottingham Forest next Saturday. all seven teams are separated by only 7 points and it is easy to see why the battle against relegation is going to be as fierce as ever in these final few games, Blackpool, Hartlepool, Walsall, Yeovil, Gillingham, Rotherham, Swindon and the MK Dons are all staring at possible relegation. 3 Teams will be relegated, which ones out of the seven though? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.
