The Welsh Premier transfer deadline is looming
Bangor boss Clayton Blackmore continues to strengthen the Bangor squad.

With the transfer deadline looming, Bangor boss Clayton Blackmore has worked hard in recent weeks to strengthen City's squad for the closing stages of the season.

In addition to goalkeeper signing 18 year old Ian Havard and 16 year old left winger Carl Jones, the new faces include Kwame Barnett who made his debut against Port Talbot on Saturday afternoon.

22 year old Kwame played alongside Kieran Killackey (and Richard Acton) in Altrincham reserves and caught the eye as a regular goalscorer for Fletcher Moss Rangers (of Didsbury) in the Lancashire & Cheshire Amateur League.

A powerfully built striker, Kwame came off the bench in the 80th minute to add his own brand of attacking play to the Bangor frontline. (Thanks to Mike Smith for this note - 29 March 2006)

ACADEMY UPDATE: It was three wins out of three for our Youth Academy youngsters against Airbus UK Academy today.

City U-12s won 4 - 1 (scorers Lleion Williams (pen) uron Williams and Gruffydd John),

U-14s won 4-2 (scorers D Brookwell 2 Keiron Jeffreys and Joe Lloyd), and the U-16s won 2-1 (scorers Kelvin Frazer (pen) Gethin Phillips).

Well done to all the youngsters, and to Mel Jones and the rest of the Academy coaching and support team. (26 March 2006)
