OUR NEXT MATCH - CWMBRAN TOWN V CITY AT THE CWMBRAN STADIUM. MONDAY 17 APRIL (THE WEBMASTER'S BIRTHDAY!) KO 2.00 PM

HAVERFORDWEST C 1- 1 CITY: A first City goal by our nippy winger Carl Jones gained us valuable away points against our Pembrokeshire hosts. Box-to-box midfielder Chris Priest was sent off four minutes from time for a second yellow card offence (15 April 2006)

WELSH CUP FINAL - Local rivals Rhyl will be our opponents in the Welsh Cup Final to be played at The Racecourse, Wrexham on Sunday, 7 May, KO 4.00 pm. Our hard-working Supporters' Association will be running members-only coaches to the final. Places are gong fast, so to book, contact Nigel on [email protected] or 07944 694801.

Help get all Citizens out in force for the big day. Click on the link at the top of www.bangorcityfc.com to download a Cup Final poster and stick it up iin your school, local shop or workplace. Thanks to Ian Thomas for the posters. (15 April 2006)

CITY 0 -3 RHYL: We held our own against title-chasing Rhyl until an injury to our keeper Ian Harvard turned things upside down. With top scorer Paul Roberts pressed into action between the sticks our defensive and attacking options were weakened, and it was no surprise that the Lilywhites took full advantage when former City striker Lee Hunt fired home for the visitors after 70 minutes. We stayed in contention however until late efforts from Heel's Andy Moran and George Horan finally killed us off (11 April 2006)

THE FUTURE'S BRIGHT - Our U-21s under Steve Evans maintained their table-topping form with a 0 - 2 win at Newtown last Wednesday - young Darren Ishmael and Iowan Jones were the scorers. We are in a strong position at the top of the Northern Section of the League table with 16 points from 7 games. TNS are our biggest threat, chasing hard with eight points from five games - so there's still all to play for. Well done to Steve and the lads. Adding this to the consistently excellent performances of our Academy, and the achievement of our young first teamers in reaching the Welsh Cup Final, it seems that the future's bright - and Blue - at City! (8 April 2006)
