Sven names a provisional England squad
And he gambles on injured and uncapped players...

Sven-Goran Eriksson has named his provisional 23 man squad for this summer's World Cup in Germany.

Unsurprisingly he names injured players Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney. More surprisingly he names Theo Walcott and Aaron Lennon, together with West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker in his reserve list.

The squad is as follows;

Ferdinand (Manchester United)

Campbell (Arsenal)
Carragher (Liverpool)

Gerrard (Liverpool)
Hargreaves (Bayern Munich)
Jenas (Totenham)
Downing (Middlesbrough)
J Cole (Chelsea)
Lennon (Tottenham)

Crouch (Liverpool)
Walcott (Arsenal)

Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jermain Defoe, Ledley King and Darren Bent miss out, not even making it to the reserve/standby list.
