The Best Fantasy Manager games for the new season

Hey Guys, just wondering if there are any new Fantasy football sites worth paying particular attention to this season? Has anyone found any really good ones?

All of the official club sites are charging for registry again it would seem, and still no luck on the BBC hosting their free fantasy football for the 06/07 season.
I came across a great site last year, and it has been made better again by the looks of it, its called http://www.fantasyfc.co.uk and is unquestionably the best fantasy football manager game out there. I was wondering if anyone here had played it last year?

I would definitely say it was the unsurpassed FF game in terms of how fair the points scheme is, the classic dynamic player value feature still makes the system motivating throughout the entire season… given that you have to monitor who you think could do well from the very beginning, and in buying players that prove later to perform considerably better than their initial cost may disguise, you are given a chance to increase your squad budget beyond the £100m you are granted. This puts the focus on you as a manager to be able to spot the cheap talent, earn money for your own club, and later dominate the transfer market and league tables.

The game follows all premiership clubs featured in the Premier League, Carling Cup, FA Cup and the higher clubs that qualify for the Champions league, so you’ll be managing your team almost all year long! Of course those in the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Liverpool come at a price, and there’s no way your fitting 2 players from each into your team of 14, so squad selection is harder than previous years, but fairer too.

The best thing about this particular site is it’s completely free to register a team, so long as your email address is valid (yes I did try to register a whole load of different teams – and I’ll admit it’s a little unfair to do so, so I’m glad it stopped me). Prizes are even awarded for coming top of the various leagues after each month, manager of the month awards I assume are still included, and there’s an overall prize for Manager of the Season 06/07. There are also different leagues and a mini league option, meaning you could come top of your mini league, or in a ‘Carling Cup’ league and get a prize.

I must say also, compared to last years FantasyFC.co.uk this years is so much faster, clearer and it will be a lot better with the new point scoring rules too… I can’t wait for the season to begin, I keep changing my squad like mad at the moment… I just can’t decide on a fixed team, but there’s half a point in there for shots on target so Frank Lampard will be in my team! ;)

Hope to see you on there, feel free to join my Mini League, my team name is Spudrifles’ Spuds and mini league code - 000004dzfaco
