International Match round up
Italy stuff the German’s 4-1, Brazil beat the Russian’s and Croatia beat the Argentineans.

Two goals in the first seven minutes from Alberto Gilardino and Luca Toni put the Italians in control.

Daniele De Rossi's header made it three and Alessandro Del Piero also netted before Robert Huth's late consolation.

Elsewhere, Croatia fought back to beat Argentina 3-2 thanks to a last-minute goal, and France had their 18-game unbeaten run ended by Slovakia.

A fortunate first-half goal by Ronaldo was enough to give Brazil a 1-0 win in their World Cup warm-up match against Russia in Moscow.

Brazil captain Roberto Carlos' shot deflected off Ronaldo and past Russian keeper Igo Akinfeyev after 15 minutes.

Darijo Simic's late header gave Croatia a thrilling victory over Argentina.

Ivan Klasnic had put Croatia ahead but Carlos Tevez and Lionel Messi responded for Argentina before Darijo Srna levelled and Simic netted the winner.

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal in each half to help Portugal beat Saudi Arabia 3-0.
Ronaldo headed home the opener then slotted home a low shot with on-loan Chelsea midfielder Maniche netting Portugal's other goal.

Umit Karan scored twice in the last three minutes as Turkey fought back to draw 2-2 with the Czech Republic.

Turkey trailed to Karel Poborsky's penalty and Jiri Stajner's shot before substitute Karan's double strike.

Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt scored the only goal of the game as Holland beat Ecuador 1-0 in Amsterdam.

Kuyt, playing instead of Ruud van Nistelrooy because the United striker had stomach ache, slotted home from Arjen Robben's cross.

The USA also triumphed, beating Poland 1-0 in Kaiserslautern thanks to Clint Dempsey's goal.

In a game played in a snowstorm, Dempsey headed home from close range from an Eddie Lewis cross.

France had their long unbeaten run ended in a shock 2-1 home defeat by Slovakia at the Stade de France. Szilard Nemeth put Slovakia ahead against the run of play and although Sylvain Wiltord levelled from the spot, Jozef Valachovic grabbed a late winner.

Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman headed Serbia & Montenegro's winner as they beat Tunisia 1-0.

Kezman, now playing for Athletico Madrid, struck after 11 minutes and Tunisia could not force an equaliser. Spain substitute Juanito Gutierrez scored a late winner as his side rallied to beat Ivory Coast 3-2.

Spain substitute Juanito Gutierrez scored a late winner as his side rallied to beat Ivory Coast 3-2. Ivory Coast led twice through Abdul Kader Keita and Bonaventure Kalou but David Villa and Jose Antonio Reyes levelled before Gutierrez's winner.

Elsewhere, Iran held on to beat Costa Rica 3-2 in a battle of two sides who are both heading for the World Cup finals.

Goals from Ali Karimi, Ali Daei and Vahid Hashemian put Iran in a commanding position before half-time.

But Carlos Hernandez and Danny Fonseca replied for Costa Rica and they wasted several chances to equalise.

Another match-up of sides who will be in Germany saw South Korea's Park Chu-young score the winner in their 1-0 victory over Angola.

And Mexico earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over fellow qualifiers Ghana, Guillermo Franco netting the winner 15 minutes from time.
