Rochdale 2-4 Leyton Orient
Leyton Orient put another three points towards their promotion hopes with a 4-2 win away from home at Rochdale. Captain Alexander bagged two goals for the visitors.


After 10 minutes of equal possession, Leyton Orient’s captain Gary Alexander headed in a cross from a free-kick from the edge of the area. Rochdale’s Alan Goodall only took 12 minutes to give a strong reply with a cracking shot which was set up by Gareth Griffiths.

Tudor managed to put Leyton Orient ahead after 35 minutes; however his goal was marred by his sending off ten minutes later. At Half-Time Orient went in with a one goal lead.

This lead was doubled when the captain got his second goal from 18 yards out two minutes after the restart.

On 65 minutes, Sturrock did his part for Rochdale tapping in from close range to halve the lead.

Mackie headed home from a free kick after 76 minutes to seal the game for Leyton Orient. 2,666 people watched Leyton Orient gain precious points.

Comments : Great to see someone taking an interest outside the Premiership....... Leyton Orient seem to be going well at the moment. Grimsby look well placed and the cobblers could well be there as well
