Redbridge 0-5 Fisher Athletic -----Saturday 7th January 2006
Redbridge conceded four 2nd half goals in a dissapointing 5-0 home defeat to Fisher Athletic and missed their chance to move off bottom place in the Ryman Premier league.

Redbridge went into this match full of confidence after taking 6 points from their last 2 home league matches. For Fisher this was the first match for new manager Justin Edinburgh recently joined from Billericay Town although he was to watch this from the stands and for the first 44 minutes he saw very little to separate the sides although Fisher came out for the 2nd half and destroyed the home side.

Fisher started the game well and had lots of possession with Leroy Griffiths in particular looking very dangerous. Chris Piper had the first chance when his cross come shot fell just wide of Richard Wray`s right hand post. Redbridge soon got back into the match and had a good chance to score through Carl Allison, soon after Ian Luck almost ran onto Chad Millar`s through ball but James Pullen raced out to clear.

Redbridge then had their best chance when Bradley Brotheron just failed to connect to Chris Perkin`s ball into the box. Just as it looked as if it would be goalless at the break Charlie Hearn scored direct from a corner which angered the Redbridge bench who were arguing that the corner was taken from outside the corner spot. This resulted in manager Allan Fenn being sent from the technical area and was forced to watch the 2nd half from behind the dugout.

What he was to see was Fisher step up a gear and when doubled their lead after 51 minutes when Steve West reacted quickest after Griffiths shot was saved by Wray.

Damian Scannell was causing problems for the Redbridge defence down the right wing but the third goal came from the left side when Griffiths broke free and rifled in a shot which left Wray with no chance. Griffiths then released Leroy Piper who was one on one with the keeper and chipped him as he went to ground before Hearn scored his second of the match to complete the rout and make it 5.
