Match Report
Player of the match SOLAMAN TORSON
In this very important clash with two sides near the bottom the Reds made the long journey to Rye. The Reds started well but Ben Biggar missed two good chances followed by Jamie Den hitting one over the cross bar to put the Reds in front. The Reds went behind when Mark townsend was fouled and Rye scored. The Reds fought back in style. Solaman Torson hitting the perfect free kick from outside of the box straight into the corner of the net giving the very impressive Rye keeper (Manager) no chance. In the Reds goal Danny Kelton was having one of those days dropping three balls but make several good saves. In the second half with only five minutes play mike Morgan played the ball through to Solaman Torson who passed to Danny Clayton who fired into the back of the Rye net to put the Reds two one up.The reds brought on two subs Geoff Clark (Jamie Dean) and luke Edmonds (Ben Biggar) and they looked much better up front. At the other end most of the play was with Rye and several times goal mouth scrambles saw Dan kelton pull of two more good saves to keep the Reds in the game. This made the final score two one to the Lobsters and three very good points.
