Durham Ranger 2 - 7 Thomas Wilson. Gateshead & District League Division 2
The Wilson continued their good form with a 7-2 victory away at struggling Durham Ranger. (Barry J. Hindmarch)

The Wilson took the lead when Rumney's corner was flicked on by Brett Hogan and finished at the far post by Barry Hindmarch. The Ranger soon equalized when a scramble in the box allowed the Ranger forward to fire home from 10 yards. Hindmarch then latched onto a through ball from Boyle and rifled home from the edge of the box. Just before half time Woody Rumney beat the offside trap before rounding the keeper and rolling the ball into the empty net.


After the restart The Wilson increased their lead when Dicka Dixon saw his shot parried by the keeper, but Hindmarch was on hand to knock in the rebound for his second hat-trick in eight days - celebrating in the now customary Sheki Kuqi style. Centre half Jamie Kirk extended the lead following a corner, then Rob Boyle scored from a tight angle, beating the keeper at the near post. Hindmarch added his fourth following a miss-hit shot from Hogan, before The Ranger pulled back a late consolation.
