Uni do double over Marjons!

After last weeks dissapointment against Orange, a game againt Marjons was the perfect opportunity for the uni players to be fully motivated enough to claim all 3 points.

Uni scored in the first 10 mins. Rickets kept his cool and directed and volley towards the corner. The ball may have taken a slight deflection but it was still a good strike and worthy of giving uni the lead.

Pickstone took himself off after half an hour due to him feeling ill (it had nothing to do with the beers the night before) and so Monners and Rambo played upfront in a basic 4-4-2.

There was some good football played although as usuall chances were not taken. There were some pretty poor tackles on show with Uni's Kev probably displaying the worst. Full credit to the Marjons defender though who carried on playing when most thought his game would be over.

Centre back Dave was the captains man of the match. The goalkeeper and captain Dan didnt have much to do altough his presence could always be heard...i think the ref asked him to stop shouting at one point!

Every uni player came off the pitch deserving to have won...it was a great team effort. Its not often that Dan has such a quiet game! Next week it's an away game to Dartmouth. Freshers should be looking forward to this!
