Reading 2-0 Southampton
Reading stretched their Championship lead with a convincing victory over Premiership rejects Southampton.

Reading are now 13 points clear of Sheff. Utd. In 2nd and an uasailable 24 points clear of third placed Watford. Surely now they have to much of a lead to contemplate being in the Championship next year.

The opening goal fell to in form and lively Leroy Lita when he took advantage of some poor Southampton defending to tap in the opener from Glen Little's cross.
Kevin Doyle made it 2-0 before the break, brilliantly controlling Marcus Hahnemann's long clearance and cracking a low shot into the bottom corner.
Saints had their chances, notably Richard Chaplow who hit the bar with a header, but the Royals eased home.

Looks like Reading are all but there and Southampton have lost their way.
