Cobblers Up, as Rushden go down
Northampton clinched promotion to League 1 thanks to a goal from top scorer Scott McGleish as they earned a 1-0 win against Chester.

McGleish grabbed his 24th goal of the season midway through the first half as he headed home at the far post from David Hunt's long throw.


Had it not been for Chester goalkeeper Chris McKenzie, Northampton would have won by a much bigger margin.
Josh Low, Martin Smith and Andy Kirk were all denied after the interval.
