Cup Final Defeat
Whaley Lose A Thriller

Cup Final Clash between Whaley Bridge Under 12's and Great Moor B Under 12's was a close fought game.
Whaley started the game in positive fashion and deservedly took the lead. Great Moor came into the game and scored with a slightly dubious goal to make it 1-1 at half time. The second half started the same as the first with Whaley pushing forward but not converting there chances. In a rare Great Moor attack they scored what was to be the decisive goal. Whaley did hit the bar with minutes remaning but could not pull back the goal which would have taken the game to extra time.
This was a great game played between what has been the two top teams this season. Credit goes to both teams for putting on a wonderful game for all the fans that came to watch.

This is my first season as manager of the Whaley Bridge Under 12's. It has been a great experience and is most fulfilling to get out on a Sunday and watch some great football. I am an avid supporter of football but feel that money is killing the game with to many would be superstars earning far to much and then complainig of being tired. It is refreshing to go to the local park and watch kids give there all for there team.
