Late Late shows means points are shared

Travellers Rest 2 - 2 Thomas Wilson

First game of the season and a deserved point against recently relegated Travellers Rest. Not really much to discuss in the first half, though a succession of corners were forced but with no real end product. Oz Orrick made a comfortable debut agaianst a nippy little striker, with McPhee sweeping behind when required.

In the second half it was much the same until the game burst into life in the last 15 minutes. First sub Mark Petrie got on the end of a cross, and his header was going in when Grant McPhee made sure - both players still claiming the goal (but Nanny McPhee being awarded the strike)! Five minutes later it was all different.

Two goals in five minutes by the Travellers suddenly turned the game on his head, and it looked like the Wislon were heading for defeat, but Oz pushed forward and flicked on a Burns cross to Woody Rumney who fired home to level the match.

After the game Steve Coates got involved in a slight tussle with some of the opposition, but nothing more than handbags to report in the end. A fair point for both sides in the end.
