Pre Season Tournament
Whaley do it in style

This was a pre season tournament held by Great Moor in Stockport.
It was 11 a side with six teams in the league with the top 2 playing in the final.
Whaley started of with a score draw and then went on to win all but one other match which was a scoreless draw.
Going into the last game of the league stage Whaley needed a win to make sure and did this.
In the final Whaley won 2-0 with a well taken penalty and a wonderfull second.
This was Whaleys first tournament win made sweeter as all the other teams in the tournament came from a higher division bar one.
Hopefully this is the start of a good season for Whaley.

This is my first season as manager of the Whaley Bridge Under 12's. It has been a great experience and is most fulfilling to get out on a Sunday and watch some great football. I am an avid supporter of football but feel that money is killing the game with to many would be superstars earning far to much and then complainig of being tired. It is refreshing to go to the local park and watch kids give there all for there team.
