Wigan 2 Arsenal 3
5 goals in the first half, 0 goals in the second half!!

Arsenal end Wigan's winning run with an amazing win at the JBB Stadium. In the first half Wigan were the team with all the possession, and yet Arsenal had 3 chances and took them all.

In the first 10 minutes Wigan had 3 shots miss the goal making Arsenal look very ordinary, but in the 10th minute a solo run from Robin Van Persie ended in a 25 yard strike that dipped and swerved under Wigan goalie John Filan.

10 minutes later and Thierry Henry knocked in Arsenal's second sending the ball across the goal from the right into the far left of the goal.

Wigan didn't give up attacking hard until the 27th minute when Henri Camara's diving header from close range beat Jans Lehman for Wigan's first goal. The goal was overshadowed by a bizarre incident that left Fabregas on the floor stunned, a subsequent scuffle between the two teams of players and a Jason Roberts with a yellow card for unsporting behaviour!

On 40 minutes a free kick outside the Wigan penalty area was superbly taken by Henry and whipped into the left side of the net, just past the fingers of Filan.

Once again Wigan fought backand 4 minutes later Jimmy Bullard wrong footed Sol Campbell, surged past him and scored the goal of the match from 18 yards.

'A game of two halfs' never seemed more appropriate as there wasn't really much worth talking about save for a Wigan chance at the end of the match following a Jason Roberts cross.

Despite losing Wigan played a blinder showing that there current position in the Premiership is no fluke.

With two goals to his name many will be asking what Arsenal would be like without Henry, and many will be praying that he doesn't move to Barcelona.
